Any guesses as to what this is? Advanced Foam just shipped this nicely shaped piece for an upcoming TV series episode. The piece was made of 26 machine-cut “baloney slices,” all different, laminated together and then hand-shaped by our crew of craftsmen. The finished piece is pictured here after being finish sanded and after being sprayed with Polycoat.

Custom polycoated onion domes
These Polycoated onion domes, 10 in all, were a prominent stage prop on NBC’s Superstars of Dance. The largest ones measure 66 inches in diameter and are 102 inches tall.

This giant video game controller, with Polycoat finish, was a stage prop for a rap musician’s performance.
78th Academy Awards box office prop
For the 78th Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre, Advanced Foam fabricated the tiered foam roof and other trim details for this box office prop, as well as the tiered bases (and matching capitals) of the six fluted columns.

Advanced Foam made six of these intricate circular window sections for "Daredevil" from 20th Century Fox. The delicate structure measured 20-1/2 feet in diameter when assembled and was built to exacting tolerances.
