Custom Spaceship Fabrication for The Orville

Advanced Foam fabricated the custom spaceship featured in the television series The Orville, created by Seth MacFarlane.

Designed for on-camera performance, the ship was engineered using lightweight foam construction to achieve both scale and durability for repeated use during production. The fabrication balanced structural integrity with finish quality, ensuring the piece held up under handling, staging, and filming while maintaining a convincing on-screen presence.

This project highlights Advanced Foam’s experience supporting studio television productions with large-scale scenic elements—delivering reliable execution under the constraints of tight schedules and complex production environments.
